From Gold to Platinum ?

Can anyone explain to me why we can do a 3-4 day back to back which counts as two toward our Platinum yet a 14 day only counts as one? Two back to back cruises yields 4 cruises yet one 14 (i.e. same number of days) only yields one.

Because Castaway Club status is based on completed cruises and NOT nights sailed.

Only cruise line we go on that still does it that way
I've done 5 DCL cruises and of those were 14 nights.......just going on first cruise as gold.
Yet on other lines we are way farther up "the ladder"

Ok but from our end it is $$$$ spent, not # of cruises.

Contact DCL and suggest they change it to match the other cruise lines. Best that can be done.
