From DHS to Yachtsman Steakhouse, how long?

How long to allow for the trip from DHS to Yachtsman Steakhouse, by boat, that is an option, yes? Or am I confused? Does the boat go directly to the Yacht Club or is there a good walk involved. Just trying to allot my time for a ressie. Don't want to be late. Dena

It's a 20 minute walk (at a reasonable adult pace) from DHS to YC. The boat ride itself is only 7 - 10 minutes, but as there are often waits for the boat and at least one stop between DHS and YC, taking the boat will likely be 25 - 30 minutes.

The boat stops at the Yacht Club dock and then it is another 2 - 3 minute walk to the Steakhouse.

I agree the walk will be @ 20 minutes.
If you walk right on a boat at DHS dock, it will take 8 minutes to get to Swan/Dolphin, plus time there to load/unload. Then 5 minutes to the dock at YC/BC. So the quickest possible boat time would be @ 16 minutes, if you don't have to wait to board at DHS. Then, add the 2-3 minutes to walk from the YC/BC dock to the restaurant.

If you can walk right onto a boat at DHS, then I'd say try that. Otherwise, the walk is always an option.

Personally I enjoy the walk. You know how long it's going to take (rather than just missing the boat) and it helps work up the appetite for the good food! Unless you are there when it's hot because once you put on the nice dinner clothes, you won't want to get all sweaty.

the walk is far. You can ask on your way in about the boats and might get to time it just wright. the stake house is the best.

I agree with Robert P's times. And so I would allow 40 minutes in case you just miss a boat.

Walk straight down the dock to enter the YC. Enter the doors on the right or go straight into the lobby if you want to see it. Then follow an interior corridor to the right in either case until you come to YSH which will be on your left up a couple of stairs.
