Hi everyone! I'm Megan, the mom who's e-mail Julie read on this week's show. I'm not much of a poster (as you can see!) but I wanted to say hello.

Julie, thank you so much for taking the time to read my e-mail on the podcast this week. It meant the world to me.

I know I speak for a lot of people here on the boards when I say that the podcast team has touched all of our lives in a way that makes us feel like we're all one big (mostly) happy family. Thank you again for inviting all of us to be a part of your lives.

Ok, now I'll try to be less of a lurker and more of a poster!

As a father with a son with a disability and special needs, I too was touched by your e-mail that Julie read. We learned quickly that we had to be advocates for him and that unless we were he would be left behind (particularly in the education system). Understand the opportunities and rights available to you and Dash and stick to your guns in making sure you receive everything that you are entitled to.

I just want to say again how wonderful it is to get so many words of encouragement and kindness from all of you. I do not know any other parents of differently-abled children so dealing with Dash's issues has been somewhat isolating. I cannot tell you how uplifting this whole podcast experience has been. I am so glad I wrote that letter to Julie.

And to Kristin a.k.a. Bornteach: Thank you for the PM! I don't have enough posts to message you back, but I wanted to let you know I got your note.
