Hi,

We just returned from vacation and had a blast pin trading. We knew absolutely nothing about the pins we were trading for which made it more fun. My question is while I was looking through pin pics to learn about the new pins, there are a few that I couldn't find, or that were just slightly different. We traded for a chef mickey's pin that says official pin trading disney cruise line on the back, but on pin pics the back reads 2000 logo with the slogan "Celebrate the Future hand in hand - Walt Disney World". Is the pin that we received a cast member only trading pin from the cruse line?

We also received a sorcerer mickey that is slightly different from the many that are on pin pics, it says official pin trading 2003 on the back. What seems unusual is that Mickey's eyes are gold, along with gold trim inside his sash. Is this just a new pin that isn't on pin pics?

Sorry this is so long, but I am just curious if anyone knows.

There will be a lot of pins that will be identical to the ones in PinPics with a different backstamp. This is because with each new year if the pin is still available it will have the year backstamp that it was made in. So even though it has a different backstamp it is probably still the same pin.

the sorceror mickey I am not sure about .. I get very lost in all the mickey pins in the database and since I don't personnally collect them the subtle differences are kinda lost on me... HEHE.. He might actually be there but if the picture isn't good you might not be able to see the details that make him recognizable. What position is Mickey in. Hands out front? Or maybe up above him?

Thanks! that explains a lot. I think my mickey is 3588. You are probably right that the color is off on the photo, on my pin his eyes are gold, and inside the sash is also gold. I think it maybe showing up black on the photo.
