We had friends that were supposed to come with us to WDW and we were going to hang out at the parks and eat together and such. I made our ADRs for 4 and now I can't get a hold of my friend. I don't know if he and his fiancee are still going, and that would take our ressie from 4 people to 2 people. Will this be a problem when we show up? I don't want to chance losing our ADRs, but I feel bad taking a 4 top when a 2 top will do.

On the other hand, I read a suggestion somewhere that if they don't have a ADR for a 2 top to ask for a 3 top. So I'm thinking that's the same thing. Am I ok? Should I try to downsize the ADR? I know you have to cancel and re-reserve and I don't want to take that chance

If your ADR is for someplace that you had to give a credit card # - like CRT - you need to remove those people from the ADR or you will be charged for them.

Otherwise - it's not going to be a problem to show up with 2 if your ADR is for 4. You might want to call and see if you can downsize any - don't let them cancel your current ADR until they see they have something available for 2. If they can downsize you - do it, it will allow someone else to get a table. But if they can't - keep your 4-person ADR and just show up with 2.
