We, as a group of friends, are going DW in November. There were 3 0f us planning on going and our reservations were made as such. Now it's possible one member of the party wont be able to make it and it's too close to our trip for us to get any of the restaurants we want should we just scrap and rebook. Does anyone know if we would have a problem going as two when the ressie is for three ?

Usually, dropping a party member isn't an issue. Especially since they do sit most parties of 2 at 4 tops (2 tops are pretty limited). If person #3 can't make it, just let them know at the podium and you should be alright.

However, it's not unheard of at the ultra-popular locations that showing up with fewer (especially with a table-size change) may lead to a longer wait or being turned away. It's not common, but there have been a few reports of it. It's nothing I would worry about at all, but just something to keep in mind if you scored those originally. Also, pre-paid and CC held locations may (and prepaid will) charge you for the missing person unless you can rebook ahead of time.

Showing up with less people is never a hassle. Showing up with more is always a hassle.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you can rebook the places you want without a problem then I would do that. But if you can't and really want to eat there I wouldn't worry about it.
