frizzy hair? lol

I agree about Frizz Ease products. I have naturally wavy hair and these do work. My problem in the summer is not just the frizz but the weight and sticky-ness of my hair. Sometimes I will just pull it back while wet into a low ponytail/ bun and put in my Hawaiian flower clip that I bought at WDW 7 years ago. It makes me feel like I am away somewhere tropical. I am a really pale "island girl" in Michigan! :rotfl:

I get frizz even without the humidity. I have very thick, natural curly hair. I use this combination with good luck:

Shampoo: Garnier Fructis
Conditioner: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In Conditioner
Styling Gel: either Biolage Defining Elixir or Loreal Melting Gel

I dont blow dry, just comb hair and apply the styling gel when hair is damp. Let it dry. It leaves me with smooth curls. Its not sticky or stiff. Try a few different combinations and see what works for you!

i have very thick hair but my hair is wavy. I use the biolage Gelee and it is very good with frizz but i makes my hair very crunchy. Have you ever tried the gelee? do you know the differences with that and the elixir?

I use Aussie products. They actually have a 12-hour humidity control spray which I found on a business trip to Atlanta, but can't get in Chicago.

naturallycurly.com is a wonderful site for anyone with curly or wavy hair.

If you have curly or wavy hair I would not attempt to blow dry straight, brush, or anything like that. You will never win against humidity and hair that wants to wave or curl.

My suggestion is to wash or wet in the morning, comb with wide tooth comb, add gel, the carefully scrunch. After that, either diffuse, or just let it air dry into what it wants to do.

If you need it off your face but would rather not do a pony tail the scarf headbands/hair wraps are very pretty. I am talking about the ones that have covered elastic in the bottom and several layers of silk scarf on top. I have been wearing these quite a bit lately because my hair is just shy of being long enough to pony tail. I was suprised that they actually hold really well and don't slip.

For Gels I like Suave Naturals Aloe Vera Gel, Aura Rosemary Mint (From Sally Beauty) or Herbal Essences Humidity Defying Gel (This comes in a tube, not a bottle) All of these hold well for me without being crunchy.

Nothing works for me and I have just basically given up on trying. Remember that episode of Friends when Monica's hair just kept getting bigger and bigger? That's what I look like in humidity. Good luck!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's what I say about myself!!!!! I loved that episode :happytv:

I have extremely curly & frizzy hair. I live in South Louisiana where it is very - I mean very humid.

I use all the Paul Mitchell Products! I use the Instant Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Towel dry - then I use Super Sculpt, Heal Seal, Super Skinny Serum, & Gloss Drops. Comb all of that throughly through hair. Dry with an Ionic Hair Dryer completely. After that I add more Gloss Drops and straighten with a Chi Straightener. Make sure when straightening that you section of little sections at a time - don't do big sections. The straightening alone takes me close to 20 minutes to do.

This works wonders, unless your caught in the rain that is! It took me quite a few years to find just the right formula - but finally I did!

Are you serious? You're going to DISNEY and you're worried about your HAIR? Oh, my! :confused3

Well, if I love pluto wants to have less than perfect photos, I guess that's her business. *I* on the other hand freely pass out my photos from Disney and display them prominently in my house. So yes, I am worried about my hair, clothing, tan and makeup. TYVM!

I have frizzy hair too. I use Redkin shampoo and conditioner. I towel dry and use bed head control freak and bed head after party. I let dry until almost totally dry and then use a heat protector and blow dry. When it's relatively straight I use my ceramic flat iron. Take small sections and then I use bed head after party again. Lastly I pray for no rain or it's all over

Last year I learned that I putting my hair in ponytails was the best! It only took me 11 years to learn this lol, but it was also our first summer trip.

You could also put it in a small bun instead of a pony and it would be slightly dressier. I use some kind of gel or something similiar to keep it slicked back. This way I don't get frizzy fly away's and a messy pony or bun!

Yes, I have tried the gelee - its thicker than the elixir. I dont know if that is the right word, but it dries and you can definitely feel it - the elixir is more like a soft coating. You can feel it, but its not crunchy or stiff. It is much more like normal hair. I like it better.

Pureology makes a great product. They have a shampoo, cond, and cream called smoothing and it is great. Remember you can still wear your hair curly it just fills the cuticle to prevent moisture from getting in. Also a product call shine maxx is great. There is also a product called color max that is great for color fading. My sister just got back form a trip in Florida and used it before pool and sun time and her color faded 0%. Pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, it is pricey but the best product on the market yet. It is the only product with total protection from color fade. Good luck with not having frizzy hair in Disney. ;)

I have incredibly curly hair, and what I've found that works really well is to use Pantene Smooth and Sleek shampoo and conditioner, and then don't wash out the conditioner. It weighs my hair down and holds the curls together very very well. If I need added hold after that, I use LA Looks gel. Good luck!

Hi! I own a hairsalon and I have this product from ISO. They have a complete line of smoothing products from the Tamer Cleanse->Tamer Conditioner->to my all time favorite the Tamer Foam! This is what it says on the back of the can:
Thhis smoothing foam gel calms and transforms unruly, coarse, curly and textured hair, maintaining smooth, polished styles even on the most humid days. I absolutely love this stuff and so do my clients!!

The Body Shop has a Brazil Nut cream, anti frizz. Works great and smells good.
