Friendship Bread-- I just don't get it

Love my friendship bread. Love the fact that someone thought of me. Love the flavor. Love the fact that the starter freezes so well. Love the fact that the actual bread stays moist even after coming out of the freezer. Love the fact that I can experiment with the breads by using different puddings and additions. Love the chocolate with chocolate chips. Love the Hawaiin with pistachio pudding and pineapple. Love the cinnamon with cinnamon chips. Love sharing the starter with people after asking if they are interested. Love sharing the actually bread itself. It's a no brainer, I love it.
 
I'm sure it's perfectly fine, but the idea of eating something that has sat on a counter for days before beign cooked really makes my skin crawl! :crazy2::sick:

I made homemade yogurt....

And let's just say--:scared1:

It was good---

but the thougth of growing bacteria is just nasty!
 

I think I vaguely remember my mom doing this when I was a kid--I'll have to ask her. THe would make it more like 25 years old!!
okay--- we are on Day 2 of the Friendship Bread--- instructions say "Squeeze bag".... this is so weird. Is there a hidden camera in my kitchen?

I think it's called Friendship Bread because you think of your friend while you're squeezing it. Of course, they don't tell you WHAT you have to think about your friend for unloading this bag-o-goo on you! :lmao:
