Friends, Wishes & Treats Oct WDW Trip ~ ~Aloha! HI cruise TR is complete!

Two years ago today at 10:43 am, I finally received the call we had been waiting 29 dark days for....My Jim had been found and was coming back to us....if it hadn't been for the dedicated recovery teams doing their wonderful work, which I know is not work to them, its their calling and love of humanity that drives them, we would not of been so blessed in getting Jim home.

So on this day I am asking if you can find it in your heart to make a donation to our "favorite orphanage to be" of $10.00, it will buy a building block to get the next section of walls up....I'm not able to post the link here on the DIS so if you would like it I can PM it to you.

Thank you everyone :goodvibes

Dear Sweet Wonderful Lisa...I am so saddened and my heart hurts for ALL you have had to endure since Jim died in Haiti. I love how you have taken your heartache and turned it into a way to give back to others. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: You know I support the orphanage in all ways and I pray for that dream to continue and come to absolute fruition, without any further problems or delays. :goodvibes:grouphug::goodvibes:grouphug::goodvibes

May you always feel Jim by your side, encouraging you and helping you through the most difficult of days and sharing the legacy he left in beautiful Megan!

Lisa, you and Megan are in our thoughts today. I sent you a pm.

Thank you everyone for your hugs .... know they help A LOT!!!

just checked the website and they have raised over $1,000 for the blocks in just one day :woohoo: such an amazing feat and I thank everyone who had a part in making it happen.

Yes Judy you know how we feel about our "orphanage to be" its our mission to help in any way possible to help get it completed and the long term day to day operations, this will be a life long commitment of our and love that our friends are supporting us by supporting them!

Lisa and Megan... I am so sorry I missed your post yesterday. I just wanted you to know that both you and Megan are in my thoughts and prayers - you always are. (((Hugs)))

I found the site. I watch the video about the construction progress. I hadn't realized that it was going to be shaped like a "B" until I watch the video. What a beautiful place it will be.

isn't it amazing to see! the other thing they are doing to honor Brit is having space for 33 girls and 33 boys since Brit was found 33 days after the earthquake! they are wonderful family ....Megan and I got to meet her mom Cherylanne this summer... and we look forward to going down there hopefully sometime within the year to be "Britsionaries" and work with the kids or help out where ever its needed. also visit the site of the Hotel Montana to be where my Jim was :)

Today we woke up and decided to just hang out since we knew it would be a late night at the party!

The rain kept threatening all day long, we were hoping for it to stay away, but didn't get so lucky :sad1:

Decided to run over to DTD to have lunch at EoS....yes we got our Caprese Sandwiches again! did a little bit more shopping and walking around and headed back to the resort. I took a little nap and Megan watched TV until time to get ready!

ready for the party!

We were meeting up with Judy and family around 4 pm, but they got delayed with getting ready, so we had some photopass photos taken and I took a few too

and walked around town square a bit before finding a seat by a store front - can't remember think it was the hat store - and played checkers for awhile!

JUST A NOTE - I am not going to post any photos that include Judy's family for now until she gets a chance to post them on her thread, so I will come back later on and add them!

pretty soon we saw them walking under the tunnel and we all hugged and decided what to do first....we got some photos taken on Main St (coming later) and then headed out! We went to visit the Make-A-Wish Lounge (coming later too) and took some cute photos of the kids!

We said a quick good-bye as one of my top picks to do that night was to get photos of these little guys...we got in line at 6:05 and at 7:10 were out of there....the line was past Splash Mtn by that time, happy we got in early!

we spent part of the night with Judy and family going on rides, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, IASW, POTC .....unfortunately we didn't always have very nice CM's in some of the lines, but most of the ride CM's were wonderful to Princess Lisa!!!

Princess Lisa wanted to go on some more rides, and my princess was getting hungry, so we said good-byes again and would meet up later!

part two next....

You guys look so cute in your costumes.

after we got Megan some dinner we realized the parade had started, we were about 6 rows of people back so didn't get great photos was holding my camera above my head

with the rain happening off and on all night it had dampend our party spirit, especially Megan's....we had tried to do the photopass shot at the Haunted Mansion two times but they couldn't do them because of the rain! Megan wanted to head out, but I talked her into staying through the fireworks first...

they weren't quite over when we saw Judy walking towards us, so Megan perked up and we took off with them to go over to the Haunted Mansion, the rain had stopped so we finally got our photo

we then rode HM together...even though had a cranky CM yet again who wasn't going to allow Megan and I go get in the back entrance line with Judy (they had special buttons from Make-A-Wish to get FP onto the rides) which I said was okay, but the CM finally let us go in!

By this time we were all pretty tired, definately damp and we decided it was time to head out for the night!

we said our final good-byes to our sweet friends and left around 10:30....

our overall experience with the party wasn't good, having the rain cut down on all the character areas that were outside, the trick or treat areas closed a lot...think we only hit 2 or 3....we never did get to any of the dance parties or other inside character areas, the park was just to crowded to move around quickly and fit it all in.

we had a wonderful time with Judy, Pete and the kids and happy we got to spend the time with them, so that in its self was worth the cost of the ticket for me!

You girls look great in your Halloween costumes. Megan makes a great Snow White - what a fab picture with the 7 guys.

Bummer about the rain. We've never made it to a party because I'm too cheap and I know my kids would be asleep before the parade! :rotfl:

Can't wait to see the pictures with Princess Lisa princess: and her family.

Love the Halloween costumes! :lovestruc Much prettier than the Hot Dog with a bottle of mustard and ketchup family that Jonathan and I saw the night before! lol

I love the costumes -- you gals look great. Sorry about the rain and unfriendly CM's. We were not happy with the MNSSHP this past trip and won't be going back for awhile...way too crowded seeing characters and even some of the rides and the CM's were less than friendly.

You got some great parade photos despite being back so far.

Loved all the pics and costumes - totally cute!!! :)

Such a bummer about rude CMs. :sad2:

MNSSHP is my favorite thing to do at WDW... I just love the parade, the HM part it my favorite!!!

thanks Liz! it was worth the wait to get the photo with them :thumbsup2
rain was pretty sucking, really affected Princess Lisa most of all, will post them as soon as Judy get's hers posted!

Thanks Marv! wow those couldn't of been comfortable :rotfl2: or getting in and out of rides...can just see it...we have a mustard down, we have a mustard down :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Kathy! it was fun to be able to dress up! I don't think we'd do it again, want to try for the holiday party - is it MVMCP? when we go after Thanksgiving next year....will have a better plan of what we want to do!

we heard that since the F & W festival was going on, they had brought in extra CM's and that was part of the problem with them being unfriendly and not knowing about the MAW and GAC cards Judy had....know she passed along her frustrations to Cust Serv before they left.

thanks about the photos, I did get some great ones from my photopass CD, so that made up for the bad ones :rotfl:
