My hubby recorded Friends on his dvdr, but it stopped short. The last thing that I saw was Rachel coming back to Ross' apartment after getting off the plane. What happened next on the show?? Ugh..dumb machine!

Rachel told Ross that she was going to stay in NY, and they decided that even though it was scary, they were going to be together. They both said they really wanted to be with each other forever. They kissed and hugged, then Ross said something along the lines of, "We're really going to do this- no more fooling around. Just you and me, together. Unless we're on a break?" And Rachel gave him this look like, oh, no you di'int! And then he said, "Boy! Bad time to joke about that!"

Then the scene shifts to the next day as the movers are finishing with Mon and Chandler's apt. Mon slips the moving guys some cash and tells them that she wouldnt mind if they "drop" the big ceramic dog out of the back of the truck. The gang look around the apt one last time and all put their keys on the counter. Then they go out in the hallway and decide they can go and have some coffee before Mon and Chandler leave for the new house. I believe Chandler gets the last line when he asks, "Do you know where we can go?" for the coffee.

Overall, you didn't miss a whole lot, but I heard they are airing the finale again later this month.

Hope this answers your questions!! Sorrry to see this show go- I love those guys!!! 'Bye, Friends!!!

Thank you, MomofKatie!

I was thinking that maybe Ross was going to offer to move to Paris (to be with Rachel and HIS child ), but I'm ok with her staying there.

It was a nice ending - commercials and all!

Thanks again. I feel much better!:)

No prob- I'm glad to have someone to "talk" with about the show. My DH doesn't like the show, and he rolled his eyes at me for crying at the end!!! What does he know- Friends was a great show, and I will miss it.

They are actually going to be selling the DVD of the finale starting on Tuesday.

Thank you so much. My Tivo shut of at the "kiss" also. My birthday is monday, so I think I'll talk someone in my family into buying the DVD for me. :)

I hear ya! I was bawling like a baby. I can't believe it's over:(

The reason you didn't get everything recorded is that it ended after 10 p.m. and then ER ended after 11. Not sure what was on earlier in the evening that threw things off.

The episode was long. I know our local station mentioned on the early news that it would not end until 9:05 and that their late news would be on a few minutes late. I was taping it for DH so luckily I was able to set the VCR for the correct time.

Tivo actually sent a message warning people whose Season Passes were set to record beyond the scheduled time that if they left it that way it wouldn't record right, but the opposite happened in that when I set it to their time I did not get the end of the show recorded. I think NBC did that on purpose so they could sell more DVDs and not have people passing around copies of the episode!!!

Fortunately I also have a Season Pass for ER, so I got the end of the Friends episode on the ER recording (although it did not record all of ER, which obviously went over into the news -- I didn't think they'd do that. Did Abby show up for her graduation?

Yeah. It wasn't the machine's fault. The episode ran until about 10:03 or 10:04. I was really upset when (not knowing this was going to happen) things weren't resolved, i.e., Rachel got back on the plane, at 9:58.
