Friends renting our points - how to add DDP?

Some friends of ours are going to rent some of our points and want to do the deluxe dining plan. Do I add that when I make the reservation for them? When does it need to be paid?

What about park tickets? Would it be wise to just advise them to buy their tickets when they arrive?

You can add the dining plan anytime up to 2 days prior to their arrival date. You can either call MS or add it using the member website. All persons age 3 and older listed on the room reservation must be on the same plan for all nights of the stay. You will need to pay for it in full at the time you add it to their room reservation.

As for park tickets, you can't add them to the reservation so they can purchase them from any seller they desire. That can be Disney (resort or disney.com) or an authorized ticket seller like undercover tourist where can save money depending on they type and number of days on the ticket purchased.

As, erionm stated, you can add DDP thru the DVC website or by calling Member Services and it does need to be paid for in full at the time. I did this for friends -- they bought a Disney Gift Card and gave me the numbers for it and I used that to pay for it.
