Friends going this Friday to MNSSHP--How will the crowds be?

I already told him it might be crowded. So, what do you all think?

It was sold out for Friday the 8th. I spoke to a family coming back from it that night and they said it was miserable. They didn't get on any rides and they could barely move through the parks. I'm sure Fridays are a bad day to go. We always go on a Sunday or mid week to the party.

We went on the 8th and had a great experience. It was a sell out, but we waited no longer thn 10 minutes for any ride. We rode several rides multiple times, and rode every ride in the park. We walked on HM, TMx2, Snow White, Carousel, Space M, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Mickeys' Philharmonic, and Pirates. No line for pictures, candy lines 1 minute or less. Only, character lines are longer. Arrive around 4 and get in some rides before 6. The closer to 6 the more it empties out and you can get around Fantasyland. We found no line for thunder mountain during the parade and rode twice in a row. Everyone we know who went was very pleased. Don't really understand where all the big crowd reports are coming from. Maybe just different crowd flow.

Anyone know how the 'day' crowds have been on Fridays with MNSSHP? My friend wants to spend this Friday at MK and leave when the park closes for MNSSHP - do most of the 'party' people spend the whole day, or just go in for the evening?

I have no idea why those folks told me what they did. It was a little after midnight, when I was coming back with my laundry, that I ran into them. Sounds like they were there late. They said they wished they knew to never come on a Friday as it was horrible. We went on the 3rd and had a great time.

I'm going to MNSSHP this Friday....but I don't take up too much room, promise!!

We've gone on sold out Fridays (and sold-out Halloween night), and it is somewhat crowded. However, the longest wait (for Winnie the Pooh) was about 30 minutes. I think you'll find the biggest crowds are near the "kiddie" rides as many parents take their little ones to this event. Other parts of the park seem much less crowded.. Plus as it gets later, the park clears out. Remember the sold-out attendance is still much lower than a regular busy day.

We attended the party on the 12th and while it was not sold out, it was miserably crowded. We had better wait times in lines in JULY!!! Guests were incredibly rude, pushing and shoving much moreso than usual. Best part was seeing Minnie and Mickey in costume at their houses in Toontown. All in all, not something we'll probably do again any time soon.

They are elderly, so I doubt very seriously they will go on rides, as his wife had bad arthritis and is in a power chair. I was just wondering how the crowds would be for them to move around in.
