Friends & Family Question

We don’t usually travel with extended family, so I haven’t ever had this question before....We are meeting DH’s family next month at WDW. His mother and sister are both wanting to add us to their friends & family in MDE. Is there any chance they could accidentally modify our FPs or our ADRs? Knowing how bad Disney’s IT is, I’m very hesitant to allow anyone else access to our plans.

I worked way too hard to get our FPs and ADRs to have them disappear or be modified, lol. Is it foolproof?

Depends on the permissions you grant them in the app. The default (as of a few months ago) was full access to change/modify. Although it does give someone a warning screen when making changes to existing plans. It's definitely not foolproof, so if you are just going to be worried the whole time that they are going to accidentally modify/delete something, I wouldn't do it.

Disney IT is never foolproof. Unless you plan on sharing Memory Maker or you want to designate one person in a large group to manage plans for everyone, I wouldn't do it. If you are managing the plans for your immediate family and are just meeting up with extended family for various activities, I would not connect as Friends and Family.

We are going to Disney with 17 extended family members next month. I downloaded an MDE account on my 81 year old mother’s phone and shared it with everyone, and then I told her that, for now, she is not to touch it at all. She is relatively computer illiterate and she is always handing my son her phone and saying “ will you fix this? I swear I didn’t touch anything!”. I’m a little nervous that she even has it but I thought she would want to know where everyone is when we’re at the park? Or, I may just delete the thing! Who knows ...
