"It's a Race...and a hard flight home"
I will apologize now that there are now pictures. I have no idea why, I know we went to MGM that day and we did so much in so little time that we didn't have time to take pictures! But a little treat...although this is the last day for this trip, my report does not end here....
Our last day, so sad
. But we were going to make it a good one. We had a late flight so we packed up and then headed to MGM!!! I really do love the Magic Kingdom, but all the thrill rides and movie stuff make MGM sooo great. Our top priorities were Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster. They would be a first for all!!! Julia skipped out on ToT, didn't like the whole drop you into now where idea and she wanted to get some shopping in. But we all loved it!!!
Same goes for RnR!! Being so pressed for time, that is all we got to do.
But we had learned our lessons about ADRs so the night before we made one for Mama Melrose's. It was so fun! Kind of one last hurrahh before we had to head home. I even tried calamari
didn't like that too well! It was just a great meal.
Then came the sad part...we had to go home. I never am ready to leave the World, especially after so short a time. But we had to all get home for that Thanksgiving family thing.
At least we didn't have to go straight back to school!!!
Andy and I managed to get two seats alone on the plane so we could discuss our predicament (sp??) and wallow in our own self pity!
It really was a horrible flight home, we were at an impass. I had been in my relationship for 4 years and he had been in his for 7! That isn't something you just end on a wim.
When we landed in St. Louis, most of us said our goodbye's (all but three of us lived in St. Louis). So us remaining three went to stay at my grandmothers since it was too late to drive back home. And again Andy and I spent time just sitting and making no headway. It was tough especially since we just had to turn right around and go home to our sig. others and be apart for 5 days. While a difficult thing to do, it was a good thing - we were getting no where talking it over together.
So, we did just that..went home the next morning seperately. I must say it was the worst Thanksgiving break. We hadn't cheated but just felt wrong, ya know. This wasn't something that was just going to go away...which it didn't and there is still so much more to go.....
Well, that was my trip. We had a blast, I say go with a big group of friends if you ever get the chance!!!
I love the World. It had been way too long since I had gone, the most recent before being 1992!!! And believe me, I have been back and plan on going back much more!
