Just out of curiosity where would you say has the most friendly Immigration Sanford or MCO.

I was watching Airline earlier and the Immigration officer (one of ours) was giving someone a right grilling.
I thought "If that was me I'd be quaking in my boots" :scared:

Guess the answer is, unfortunately, always going to be 'depends who you get on the day'

................just as I say that the re-newal of DH's annual, medical, driving license, depends on who opens the envelope when it arrives at the DVLA ................. ;)

yes, it really just depends on what side of the bed the customs officer has awoken that morning....there is a whole theory of ages/ethnicities when it comes to whom you should go to, but it really isn't true........it's more the luck of the draw.....
for example, JFK is known as one of the more difficult customs crossings in the US, but i've had really sweet officers there....and also the ones that it's obvious that their badges are compensating for something...

but since you're not smuggling diamonds or drugs, you really shouldn't have to worry about whom you get (just don't bring in any fruit....they have been known to get really nasty about that)...

The immigration guys we have had on all our trips to Florida have been fine :)

They were chatty and made jokes with our DDs. Perhaps we have honest faces :)

sorry.....i immediately thought customs, but you were referring to passport control....
since i go through the American line, I don't really think about it...
although they did do something funny the year right after 9-11, but they haven't done it again since....they asked each one of us a question...i can't remember what the question was, but i guess to hear our accents (or lack thereof in our case).......but they haven't done that again since the year right after 9-11.....

the last few times i've crossed immigration on the way to florida (i always cross through JFK) they've all made comments about how we must love wind (in July and again in august and yet again in september last year, there were hurricanes in florida at the time we were heading there)...

The last time we went through MCO we caught one of the guys having an off day - the queue took an age to get through and we ended up being the least people off our plane to get through - he then said that I looked agitated and wanted to chat up my missus! We ended up holding up our transport coach and annoyed all the other travellers (even more so when we ended up being dropped off first!). Sanford doesn't have the volume that MCO has and consequently you seem to get through quicker, it's a necessary evil whichever anyway cos you just want to get through and get on with your holiday!

Ive always found them pretty friendly! One year we went though, i think i was 18 or 19 at the time so only a few years ago when we handed over the passports, we handed all of our groups over in one go and said to my fiance "how old is she" and pointed and looked at me? i mean hello i can speak for myself?

Funnily i think our immigration guys are pretty rude - i had family come over from Austrailia and they said the guy asked them a question and they aparently gave a long answer (there really chatty) the immigration guy actually told them to shut up!!

We have had different experiences, first year we had a guy who asked us each a question, mine question was what relation was i to DH son.

DH got why are you here.

DH/S got how long you here.

DH/D got where you staying.

Once had a guy who said nothing at all to us.

The rest of the time they have been very friendly.
