My adult niece and I will be at OKW next week. I am the DVC member but my niece is on the ressie. We are visiting my daughter who is doing the college program. My daughter and I are planning on taking a day trip out of Disney and my nieces friend, who lives nearby, wants to come visit her. Is that a problem? If I understand correctly, she can visit but they can’t use the pool. Can they use the buses to do some exploring? Also, if I decided to add the friend to the ressie, would that be a problem? She would also have a car. Can we have 2 cars?

As long as you don't exceed the official room capacity, you should have no problems adding your friend to the reservation. She would then have access to all resort amenities including parking and the pool. They don't check for room reservations when boarding buses, so that wouldn't be a problem anyway.

If capacity of your villa allows it, you could easily add her to the room (you could do that online now), which would then allow her to use the pool. Whether you add her to the room or not, when she drives in she simply needs to give your name and villa number to the guard and tell them she's visiting you (or checking in to stay with you, as the case may be). There's no limit to the number of cars you can park. Once she's arrived, she's free to use the buses and other Disney transportation just like any other guest (whether she's registered to your villa or not).

Buses are free around the parks. They are welcome to use the bus.

There is honestly no harm in adding her to the reservation as long as capacity allows it. Then she would have full access to all the amenities. I do that as long as there is enough room when we have visitors.
