I have a friend at work that had planned a Disney trip in August...then they found out that they were expecting triplets and changed their trip to May. Well, the dr didn't want his DW to travel so they had to cancel their trip all together. (That's the Disney connection). He has so many questions and all of us at work have only had single pregnancies. Is there a good forum that I could point him to that would help them with their questions? They are expecting his DW to be put on bedrest pretty soon so I thought that would be a good resource for her. Also, any advice that you want to post here will be passed on to them.

Thanks!!

I dont have triplets or any advice on your question- I just wanted to send congrats to your friends and say that is so neat. They have been blessed beyond measure and I hope all goes well with their pregnancy!
Pixie Dust to the family:tinker:

I have a friend with triplets. She belongs to a local support group for triplets. She was paired up with someone with older triplets to help her. This is also a way to get used triplet gear (strollers, etc). They are expensive new. Triplets are more common then you think (I know three sets) so they should be able to find a group to offer them support. I wish them all the best and a lot of patience.

Hi! Congratulations to your friend and his wife! I have quadruplets and am a part of a forum online called MOST. It stands for Mothers Of SuperTwins. There are families with triplets, quads, quints and sextuplets. The group, MOST, collects data from Higher Order Multiple births (HOMs) and provides support and information for pregnancy through whatever. They also publish a quarterly magazine.

This is a very knowledgeable group who has really BTDT with the intricacies of carrying, birthing, and raising multiple children. They are not-for-profit and based out of New York, but there are moms from EVERY walk of life-including overseas, single moms, dads, and every income level.

The site is at mostonline.org--you should know that to be able to join the private forums (much more extensive than the public forums) there needs to be verification of the pregnancy. They explain it quite nicely.

Again, congratulations!

Thank you all!! They are excited...scared but excited! But they have so many questions. I will give them you congrats and the suggestion about a local group and the MOST on line site.

I just returned to work today from vacation to some very sad news. My co-worker's wife lost their triplets this past Saturday morning. I can't imagine what they must be going through right now. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They were so excited. They found out a couple of weeks ago that they were going to have 2 boys and a girl.

I am so sorry to hear that. My sister got pregnany with triplets last year, and only one ended up making it. I am so sorry they are having to go through this.

They're in my prayers.

I lost my two beautiful twin girls to TTTS years ago. Losing a child is such a tough thing to go through. Support them the best you can, I just appreciated it when people told me to let them know if there was anything they could do and left it at that.

Makes you really think about how much of a miracle every healthy baby is.

I am so sorry for their loss.

We went through the nightmare of TTTS as well from week 18 until week 32, when we had to have a c-section because one of the boys was no longer growing. We were so lucky to have had a good, healthy outcome, but I can remember how terrified we were throughout the pregnancy that we would lose one or both of them.

I'm sure they'll appreciate your friendship and support right now.

That's fantastic to hear that you made out well, it really makes me feel good knowing that now they're able to save these poor babies. We found out pretty late, of course this was back in '89 when they couldn't do much other than an early delivery, which unfortunately wasn't much of an option for us with them being so young. I'm so happy that medical science has advanced so now they're able to perform surgery to reverse this if they can't even do an early delivery.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and wishes. I think the hardest thing is going to be seeing him for the first time when he comes back to work. My heart is just breaking for them right now.
