Where can you get the fried snickers? I just saw a pic of this and it looks so tasty! Is it what the name says, a snickers bar fried? I've only had them at county fairs and would love to have another one!

Is it a snack credit on the dining plan?

Thanks in advance. :)

This is our first time going to WDW, so I am no help if it's a snack credit, but I do know you get them in Downtown Disney at cooke's of dublin I believe it's right next to Raglen Road I believe that's what I read. It is a battered deep fried snickers someone posted a pic of one on the board, but can't remember what thread. Sorry HTH some. :bride: :groom:

Yum - when i was in Dublin earlier in the year they do actually sell these in Fish and Chip shops - they sell deep fried mars bars too!!

These are one of my most favorite desserts!! They have them at our county fair every year and we all look soo foward to them. The recent post did say they were at Cookie of Dublin at DTD, they had them as their dessert their CS so don't know if you can get them as a snack option? I have actually never even seen this place;)

My friend and I are trying to re-create the deep-fried snickers bars with limited success. We've managed to create some pretty tasty desserts, but they haven't been like the ones we've had at fairs or restaurants. We've also experimented with deep fried oreo cookies and deep fried twinkies! I know it's not healthy food, but boy is it yummy!

I've done the deep fried twinkies and the deep fried oreos (and deep fried Twix...never tried Snickers). I've had the best (well, really only) sucess using tempura batter, rather than a traditional "southern fried" type of batter. Just as an aside...

We'll have to try the tempura batter route. So far we've used something related to pankake mix and funnel cake batter. They were okay, but not perfect. I'll put tempura-like batter on the list for our next "deep fried goodness" night. :teeth:

I don't usually eat this unhealthy, but my friend got a new mini deep-fryer and she's been experiementing with new recipes. Her philosophy is that everything tastes better deep-fried! :rotfl:

Oh my goodness that sounds YUMMY! Anyone have a link to the picture?

We (DD and I) had the fried Snickers at Cooke's/Raglan Road just a couple weeks ago. Sadly, we forgot to take a pic before we dug in. :rolleyes1

Looked kinda like a corndog on a stick. It was "different" - I think it was more of a tempura-type batter, certainly wasn't the beer batter they used on the fish.

Because we split the meal, we only had the one (dessert provided on the DDP) and it really was enough all by itself. (is there a "full belly" smiley anywhere? ha ha)

Not sure I'd get it again, but it was worth trying once.

I found a pic on the Disney Dining thread.

The candy bar is called a "Doh-Bar" and costs $2.95 so I would assume that you could get it with a snack credit. Cooke's of Dublin is located next door to Raglan Road at the entrance to PI. The batter is more of a doughy consistency than a crunchy one.

Yeah, the pic looks like more of a cake donut batter than a traditional fry batter, or even a tempura batter.
