Fried Mars Bar.

I see on tv that this is the in thing in Scotland, England along with fish and chips.So I Googled it and tried my hand and made it, not too bad, if you like a warm gooey chocolate bar pluss 1000 or so calories.
Has anyone else had one?

There were vendors selling them at all the festivals this summer in the Niagara Region. I was not fond of them. They seemed too goey and very sweet. Not worth all those calories!

There's a restaurant in Saskatoon that sells them. I used to buy them occasionally when I lived there. They're soooo good!

There's a pub here in Richmond Hill that serves it with ice cream and chocolate syrup... I've had it twice and after the second time, I vowed never to have it again. Not because it wasn't good...it was divine...but because I could hear my arteries crying out in pain as they hardened.

Sounds like it would be great with ice cream....but then why mess with a good thing when it is already so yummy.

Mmmmm...they have them every year at Calgary stampede along with any other thing you imagine deep fried i.e. deep fried coke, deep fried oreos, deep fried snickers and mars bars and the list goes on...thank god it's only once a year I go!! Im moving back to Ontario at xmas though so I hope I don't get withdrawl from lack of deep fried goodness

They are to die for, but find that when deepfried that they are a little too sweet for me, and when finished off with ice cream a major sugar rush. It's something that you have to try just once as a treat.

...and yes Disney has them in their menu. When you are in Downtown Disney go to Cookes of Dublin (this is the fish and chip shop in DTD where everything is made to order) and for dessert they offer "Doh-bars" deep fried candy bars.

After an order of their great fish and chips this will really clog the ateries, but hey you only live once and I only visit the world once a year so I have indulged a couple of time... shared them as the are toooo disgusting to consume by yourself.
