we had the best fried dough at sleepy hollow on our last trip my question is this. is this the only place in MK to buy this particular item?
Yes funnel cake us northerners call it fried dough....thanks
In Louisiana, we call them beignets.
But they aren't very good compared to the real things in New Orleans. They have Beignets at POFQ Food Court.
Sounds like fried dough is what Midwesterners call "elephant ears". Love them so much more than funnel cake! I do think Sleepy Hollow is the only MK location for funnel cakes. We are partial to the seasonal flavors at the America kiosk in Epcot.
If you go alittle further north (like in Canada) we call them Beaver Tails!
I thought I was going to be the one to post about zeppoles.....Can't believe it took 14 posts to get there! Here in NJ/NY we call fried dough zeppoles. They are fantastic. Small pieces of pizza dough fried and then sprinkled with powdered sugar.
