Weird question, but is the friend chicken at Disneyland and Disney world the same? When my boyfriend and I went to Disneyland we really enjoyed the fried chicken at The Plaza Inn. We're going to WDW in 2 weeks and we're just wondering if it is the same or similar

Plaza restaurant in WDW doesn't have fried chicken on the menu. Seems to be all burgers and sandwiches except for a meatloaf meal and one salad.

I was talking about the fried chicken at The Plaza in Disneyland. Sorry about the confusion. I was just asking about the restaurants where they do serve fried chicken (Trails End, 50s PT)

Thought you were looking to get fried chicken at the Plaza at WDW.

Trails End and Hoop de Doo get their chicken from the same place. So their chicken is the same. 50s PT is not the same. As for whether either of them is the same recipe of chicken served at Disneyland, I doubt it is.

50's has decent fried chicken. Portions are incredibly large though...4 pieces of chicken in one serving!!

Wait...does Disney World have fried chicken somewhere? I mean, who doesn't love fried chicken?! Too bad The United States in Epcot doesn't sell it as a snack or counter service credit.

They are not the same. We've had the DL Plaza Inn fried chicken and I'd say the closest to it would be at Trails End.

The last time I had the chicken at 50's Prime Time, it was delivered to the table in minutes. So, it was fried ahead of time, so no different than eating quick service, IMO.

Yep. the fried chicken at Trails End is great. There is also a take out window there if you only want the chicken and don't want to sit down for the whole buffet dinner. The buffet dinner is very good. Fried chicken plus carvery plus. The cornbread is very tasty. You can get to Trails End easily by boat from the front of the Magic Kingdom. Much easier to take the boat than the bus.

I had the chicken at Plaza Inn at Disneyland in November, and can confirm that, no, there is no similar chicken at Walt Disney World. The seasoning and breading on the chicken at Plaza Inn was unique and different than any at WDW. That being said, I really like the fried chicken at both 50's Prime Time and Trails End. Just don't expect them to be anything like Disneyland's.

We have reservations for both trails end and 50s PT during our trip so we'll try both out. Thanks for letting me know they're not the same!
