Fried chicken help!!!!

Not sure if they still do, but Boatwrights at POR had a fried chicken plate. It was the only thing I would ever eat there.

As someone noted earlier, you can get the fried chicken at Trails End takeout, and it is an AWESOME deal by Disney standards. Just go inside Trails End to the counter, and order the Giddyup N Go. For around $23-25 you get fried chicken and choice of two sides...such as fries, baked beans, mac n cheese etc. Plus biscuits. They say it feeds four, but our family of 6 ate it and we had tons of leftovers! For an extra couple bucks you can request all white meat.

You can grab a picnic table on the porch at Pioneer hall to eat, and do some people watching. It's a lot of fun, and a great affordable meal for the family.

We had fried chicken at Prime Time in Dec. All of us agreed that it was wonderful. DDIL has celiac and ordered the Gluten Free Fried Chicken which she and DS agreed was fantastic also. In fact, DDIL went to PT to order the Gluten Free fried chicken. Warning; when the chef came to the table, mentioned everything he could make for her EXCEPT the gluten free fried chicken. I asked, knowing that was what she wanted and he stated that he could make it but we would have a fairly long wait. It didn't seem that our wait was much longer than it would have been without the gluten free fried chicken. It was definately worth the wait when we saw her face while she was eating the fried chicken.

We have also had the boneless fried chicken breast at POP. It was very good also. (and I don't like white meat).

We did the Hoop-Dee-Doo for the first time this past June and we all loved the fried chicken!! We have an ADR for Trail's End for our upcoming trip so we can have the same fried chicken and ribs without using 2 TS credits. Can't wait to go!! :thumbsup2

We're doing Trails End too for the same reason on our upcoming trip. We don't need to see the show again, although the kids loved it in 2006, but we do need some of that ribs and chicken!

We're jazzed for our next trip and the fried chicken at Trail's End. Thanks for the tip.:earsboy:

shoot I am from TX and I can fry you a "mess of good" chicken as Paula Deen would say but I gotta eat the Fried Chicken at 50's every trip !
