I know I am not the only person who could live off of the crunchy skin part of the fried chicken. Personally, Popeyes does it best!

When I was in high school I worked in a resturant. The cook would cut the extra fat off the chicken, bread it and then deep fry it. Talk about pure heaven. What made it even more evil was I knew my mom would kill me if she knew I was eating that!

I have never watched Friends, but I'm suing...that's my line! (LOL)

I say that all the time. For me, there is no other part to the chicken. I buy frozen chicken dinners and throw out anything that's not fried skin. I make my family nuts. I have tons in the fridge now, waiting for their moment for middle of the night munchies. Fried chicken skin rules

If it's helps, it's season 5. It's the episode on disc 2 (I think) where Joey knows about Monica and Chandler. It's starts out w/ Rachel finding Chandler's underwear in their apartment. "I'm Joey, I'm disgusting," is his big line in this episode.

At our Captain D's, you can get JUST crunchies. When I was college, I would go get an order of breadsticks and "crumbs." Mmmmmmmmmm!!! And I wonder how I gained weight in college?? LOL!!

On a side note, does anyone remember when Long John Silver's used to scoop up the crunchies and put them in with your order? I think Arthur Treacher's used to do this as well.

We were trying to explain that to the kids the other day. They use to scoop up the crunchies and pour them over your fish. My kids just shook their heads and couldn't figure out why anyone would do that. Around here, Capt. D's has the most crunchies, but its still nothing like you use to get at LJS.

Ya know what? A girl that I work with was telling me that every Sunday after church her mom would give her and her brother a quarter and they would go down to Long John Silver's and buy some crunchies. How funny is that?

That reminds me of the line from Uncle Buck:
"Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat knaw that thing off your face"

I can not go to Long John Silver's to get something for myself and DW Lauri and not come home without a side of the crunchies for her. She loves those things, and I have to admit I like them also.

My best friend worked in LJS's right out of high school, so a bunch of us would go to McDonald's and get food, then drive across the street to LJS's where my friend would give us big containers full of the crunchies! Mmmmmm.

I'm making chicken legs & thighs on the grill today for supper. I grill them until they're nice and crunchy.
