I've had the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn ... yum! I see they have fried chicken at Carnation Café as well. Is it the same? Thanks!

They are different kinds of fried chicken. As you know, PI's is the traditional style of fried chicken. CC's is a chicken breast with a lighter coating. Both are good, just different. I would say that heartier appetites might enjoy PI's version more. CC's version has a bit less food, although with soup or salad, it would be a substantial meal.

Is that a price increase?
I never really knew how much that meal is. We just love it and that's what we get.

Heck, we're spending what....$7 for a corn dog meal? It's Disneyland. Movie theater pricing and it starts to feel normal until you go home and everything seems so CHEAP :thumbsup2

Just in time for Halloween, the chicken is now $15.99 at Plaza Inn.

Thank you for the updated chicken meal price. A bit of sticker shock for me. :faint:
Blah! You know some people live on fixed incomes, it's called living in California. (Well for many anyway)

I think it *was* $15.99 and is now $17.49. At least that's what Mice Chat is reporting.

No, it was $13.99 and is now $15.99. The pot roast moved up to $17.49. Take another look at the picture on the page you linked to. MiceAge and MousePlanet both reported this morning that food prices moved up again throughout the parks, so you may notice many favorites are now a bit more expensive.

I find the portion size so big that DH and I share one fried chicken meal and neither of us feel hungry afterwards. At $8 each, it's totally reasonable!

We think the fried chicken meal at Plaza Inn is large enough to share, as well.

We just get all white meat(we pay a bit more for this), and then get an extra scoop of mashed potatoes(pay for this also), and we find it to be plenty of food for two adults!(Slobbering now, just thinking of it!!!!)::yes::

We have shared the meal and you can sub an extra scoop of mashed for the green beans without a charge. We have also subbed out the dark meat for another breast at a minimal charge. My hubby and I split the meal all the time along with a salad and its great! Great chicken and a good deal. I have also gotten the children's chicken meal subbing out a breast for the leg when the family wanted other things. It is basically about the split of the main meal, plus carrots and a small drink :)

I agree its more than enough food for 2 people so $8 each is a great deal. :cool1:

I also have to chime in that Plaza Inn is easily a meal for two adults. I have to admit me and DH USED to order our own..but we have changed our lifestyle so much we can't fathom eating it alone now. My mouth is actually watering thinking about it now..LOL.

And while yeah the price may be sticker shock , I find the quality blows all the other chains out of the water. Quality over quantity in my opinion :)

Green Beans are extra yummy, too....don't pass on them!!
agree with others, it is definitely a meal to share at Plaza Inn.

Who are these people that can share the fried chicken meal?
I could never, it's all mine :)

Does anyone remember how much extra it costs for an extra scoop of mashed potatoe?
