How well do the freezers in the studios work? Normally those smaller fridges do not have actual functioning freezers .Would it keep things like popsicles cold? Are they strong enough to freeze a water bottle?

The new refrigerators in studios do not have a freezer at all. VGF and PVB do not have freezers. I think other resorts are moving to freezer-less refrigerators when they replace them.

If you are lucky enough to get an undercounter refrigerator with a freezer section, it doesn't keep most stuff frozen very well. Ice cream, no way. Popsicles, probably not too good. You might be able to freeze a bottle of water, but it could take a long time and still not be rock hard.

At VWL last summer, we didn't have a freezer section, but we noticed our reuseable water "pouches" froze up anyway on the bottom shelf of the mini fridge.
We were happy, because we normally put those in a freezer.

DH has often kept ice cream, mickey bars etc in those freezers and will freezer water in bottles as well. But, it's becoming rare to even have the freezer anymore. :(

Most studios no longer have freezers in the fridge. If you turn the temp all the way to the coldest setting you can get stuff to freeze on the top shelf tho. (We like to get frozen waffles for breakfasts and freeze our water bottles.) Of course when you do this you may accidently freeze other things that you don't want frozen too.

It is our experience too that the freezer less fridge does indeed freeze stuff. If it is turned up to high, it actually freezes our cans on pop on the door.
