Fridges at Value Resorts

Is it true that all value resorts have refrigerators in the rooms now? Or is this just a rumor?

Yes, it's true.

They are beverage coolers and they are located in the entertainment centers.

Disney decided it would be cheaper to install them in the rooms, then the space required to sort them; the staff required to maintain and deliver them and pick them up again.

The beverage coolers don't use as much electricity as the half sized refrigerators in the moderates and deluxe studios, so it was a no-brainer for them.

Oh!! This news is most excellent! Makes for having a mixed drink or two before bed much easier, also good for storing some fruit to eat in the morning, if we're running late!
