Fridges at POFQ?

Hi,

I understand that we can request a fridge at a per night charge. How big are the fridges? Would we use it if we are intending to eat breakfast out each morning? Basically I need some guidance as to if this is an essential requirement as we are stopping for 19 nights so the cost adds up!!

Yes they offer fridges for an extra charge - it is a "bar" fridge size with a smallish freezer component as well

Great for snacks, drinks, yogurt, fruit, keeping bottled water cold etc.

Here is an example of why you may want to get a fridge:

Botttled Water in the parks = $2.50 per bottle
Bottled Water bought at the Market = $0.40 per bottle

10 bottles per day = $21 less costs

We always rent a fridge or we stay in a Disney Vacation club villa which has kitchenette or full kitchen

Now, since you are staying 19 nights, I would wager it is less expensive for you to go to the local Walmart or other similar store and buy a bar fridge and you will still be ahead even if you just leave it behind

It might even be possible for you to find either someone (on these boards) to pass the fridge to or "sell" it to who might be in similar circumstances

You can also look into buying one of those plug-in coolers. They may be less expensive than a bar fridge (and you may not feel so bad leaving it behind).

the longest we have stayed is 10 nights, but we just use the
ice chest with ice and have had no trouble keeping milk,
yogurts and bottled waters cold. the styrofoam kind cost maybe
$5 for a big one and we just leave it near the ice machine when we leave hoping someone finds it before the maids throw it out!

anyway, it is much cheaper, but a little more work.
