Fridge Swap

Can someone tell me what a fridge swap is?

a group of people will share a fridge at a certain hotel... so one group would check in, use the fridge, then drop it off to the next group who would use it, who would pass it on to the next group. People swap fridges, coffee pots, microwave, strollers... who knows what else!
