Fridge Fees - Por??

Could have sworn I read in a previous thread (can't find it now) that said fridges were being added to the rooms POR. I just got off the phone requesting fridges for the 2 rooms during our stay and was told it is $10/day/room.

I thought that as part of their rehab/remodeling of POR, they were adding fridges AND including the costs in the room rate.

Can anyone clarify?

This is true....within the next month, a five month project will begin. WDW will be installing mini-fridges in all moderates and deluxes. BUT...it will take five months to complete. So, it will be a gamble for you.

Blondqtip, We just came back from POR last week and we had to pay $10.00 a day for our fridge. That would be nice to have the fridge included but as far as I know you still have to pay. Hopefully I'm wrong and you can get one included.

Blondeqtip, I forgot to mention what we did at POR. We did rent the mini-fridge but we also bought a large styrofoam cooler from a local supermarket and that worked great. To be honest with you we could have gotten away with just the cooler instead of wasting $10.00 a day on the fridge. Most of our stuff was in the cooler and there are ice machines so you don't have to worry about where you are getting ice.
A suggestion for you would be to try the cooler and if you don't like that then go ahead and order the fridge. I'm sure they will have one available if you decide you need it.

Excellent idea on the cooler instead of paying for a fridge. Worth seriously considering. You guys are great!
