Just how much can fit into the refrigerator, I am assuming they are in all the rooms or do I have to ask for one. I am thinking of a gallon of milk, oj and some 2 liter sodas or a pitcher of gatorade, is this too much to fit in it, I dont want to get the stuff at the grocery stop and then realize it wont fit in the fridge etc. Thanks.

The fridge is your typical dorm size fridge. We didn't do groceries but the gallon of milk will fit and maybe one 2-liter. Of course, you don't need to keep all the soda in the fridge at once. Whenever I'm unsure if a hotel even has fridges I always purchase parmalat milk that doesn't require refrigeration. Just a thought.

We were last at the Polynesian at the end of February. There was no refigerator in our room. We have insulin to store so I call and one was delivered after an 1.5 or 2 hours....slower than usual but I heard the resort was at 100%.

Boy, we have never tried to put a gallon of milk in them but I'm not sure it would fit. A half gallon yes but you might have to remove the little shelf. The refrigs. are the small cube size dorm type. Also not sure about the liters of pop? They might be too tall. We do store cans of Diet Rite in them.

if I were you I would buy a gallon of milk, but instead of getting the gallon container get 4 quarts or 2 half gallons for manuverability in the fridge, esp since the milk is the only thing that has to go in it. You can always get ice for the soda/gatorade

We didn't have to pay for our fridge the last time we stayed, however we did have to request it. It wasn't in the room when we got there, although it was specified on our booking details, but front desk called to make sure everything was okay and we got one sent up very quickly (took about 15 minutes) This was at the Grand Floridian. We had one at AKL when you still had to pay for them, again it was requested when we booked, but we had to ask for it again when we got there. Perhaps if the people in the room before us had used one it would have been there at arrival, so I wouldn't count on it being in the room when you get there, we luckily didn't have to wait long for it to arrive though.

We fit 2 half gallons & 1 quart in ours. I can't remember if it was on the door or in the fridge since there were shelves in there.

We also had ice packs in the freezer section-about 6 of them. And juice boxes & left over meals in there.

They are free now in all moderate & deluxes.

When we stayed at the Poly, Tolelau building, in December, there was no fridge. Calling guest relations, they said they have them on request, no charge, but we'll get one when one becomes available. One was brought up by the evening. First 3 days of trip was at the AKL, fridges were in the room disguised as a piece of furniture. Very small, freezer section will hold 2 popsicles, fridge section we put about 6 cans sode, about 10 cans beer and a half pound of bologna!!
