I've read that more is open or happening at SW on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays than on weekdays. Is the same also true for BG?

Longer version:
Planning a DC/SW/BG trip. We arrive on Wed 4/28 & depart the following Thurs 5/6. Sat is DC. Planning 2 days BG and the rest SW (and like 1/2 day Aquatica). Trying to figure out which days for which parks. During Black Friday sales, I got Quick Queues for BG for Thursday 4/29, so that day is set. Sun has QQ for SW.

What I'm trying to figure out is whether there is more benefit in going to SW on the Friday, which reports say is busier but there are more things open on Fri/Sat/Sun, or whether to stay in Tampa and do BG Thurs/Fri to avoid doing that drive twice. SW just reduced the hours on that Friday back to 10am-6pm, and it has the Seven Seas fest. that day too.

Is there a difference at BG on Friday vs. a Mon/Tues - would we miss out on stuff that is only open on the weekends? Is there enough extra open/happening on Friday at SW to make that the better choice?

Appreciate your thoughts.

Check the park calendars as soon as they post them. They will list which shows and events are on which days. Park hours can vary a lot as well. The parks are beautiful at night, so we always enjoyed going on weekends for special events, shows and longer park hours, and went during the week to ride the rides with shorter lines.

We try to go to Aquatica during the week so it is not packed with locals. We would arrive after lunch and stay until closing to take advantage of the heat of the day. You could start in Seaworld when it opens, ride some coasters, then finish the day at Aquatica.
