Friday the 13th: Then and Now

Friday the 13th, Dec. 2002 -- The day that Nicole was officially diagnosed with cancer (days later determined to be Hodgkin's). :huh: :huh: :huh:

Friday the 13th, June 2003 -- One radiation treatment from (hopefully) Nicole getting the "all clear" as far as her cancer goes!

Some days I wonder how 6 months passed by so fast (it often seemed like a blur), and other days, it seemed like we'd never be to a point where (we hope) everything is done.

All I can say is that without the wonderful, caring, amazingly talented doctors who helped us through this whole time, I don't know if this would be as happy a time as it is right now!!

So, Dr. Elsawy, Dr. Botham, Dr. Dergham, Dr. Kim and all the nurses, CT and PET scan technicians, and all those involved in our lives for the past 6 months....

Monday is her next (and last) radiation treatment. She would have been on schedule to be done today, but Memorial Day threw the timing off.

She still has to have another PET scan to verify that they got it all and then one more surgery (to remove her porta-cath), but then she should hopefully be cancer-free.
