I've been seeing the commercials for his new show Lucky a lot lately and I loved him in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I hope you love John Corbett too.
John Corbett is best known for his portrayal of disk jockey "Chris Stevens" on the CBS series Northern Exposure, and for his role as "Aidan Shaw" opposite Sarah Jessica Parker on HBO's Sex and the City. Born and raised in West Virginia, John first moved out to California to find work in a steel factory. He worked there for six years until an injury forced him to seek work elsewhere. At the time, John was attending the local city college, and he decided to sit in on a friend's drama class. While watching class, he was invited on stage for an exercise and immediately became captivated with the craft. He wound up performing in several college theater productions, and his drama teacher recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue jobs in Hollywood.
John picked up a variety of odd jobs, and it wasn't too long before he landed a series of high-profile commercials. After appearing in more than 50 national spots, John finally got his big break in television by guest starring on the highly acclaimed series The Wonder Years. He has since appeared in several made-for-TV movies in addition to his roles on Northern Exposure, Sex and the City, and the short-lived FOX series The Visitor. John has also appeared on the big screen in several films, including Tombstone, Volcano, Serendipity and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
