Bill Zane is my pick. He was charming in Tombstone
with those other babes, Val, Sam, and of course Kurt.

And now for my quilt show: I'm off to Dallas on
Saturday and then down to Houston to one of the largest
quilt shows in the world. Ya Hoo. Almost as good as
Disney but not quite.

Take care everyone and be on your best behavior while
I'm away!

A 9/11 quilt from the UK

Quilt Nine Eleven" by Liz Hands of the United Kingdom
portrays the emotions felt worldwide over the tragedy
of September 11. This quilt was viewed by thousands at
World Quilt & Textile in Lansing, Michigan and
Greensboro, North Carolina in August 2002 where it was
featured in the special exhibition "British Quilt Art"
that was curated by Christine Porter

wdw4us - myMIL does a lot of quilting shows. She owns her own business that designs patterns for quilts and some cross stitch. Have a good time:D

Very cute. I love that movie. Have fun this weekend.

JTB...who do I have to fight you for, Kurt or Val?;)

Deinse- the quilts you share with us are amazing! I can only imagine the talent and heart needed to do a project like that! I used to just think of quilts as the old Wedding Wheel and Log Cabin sort of patterns. Thank you so much!

Saffron, I agree. I don't think of quilts the same way I used to.

I never thought of Bill Zane either, he's not half bad at all. :teeth:

Awesome quilt, Denise....

Sounds like you have quite a weekend planned! ENJOY! :)

So you can see that quilts are another art form and to be enjoyed as well as cuddled with.

Your mom & grandma who made them were expressing their own artistic form as best she could.

Today, we are not little old ladies who quilt but a vast amount of us are much younger and with long brown hair not those gray haired ladies you come to envision. I'll get there soon enough but today, I'm enjoying my passion of quilting as well as Disney.

My signature USED to be:

My dream job would be teaching quilting at the Disney Institute. It still is.

When I have more time, I'll do a post on the Underground railway and the importance of quilts and how they secretly played a role in helping slaves escape. A fascinating story.

BTW, I see a pic of Kurt and Val

here's my other love: Sam

Billy Zane is a cutie though! Great post! We need one of these everyday!

Thank you Denise. Sam Elliott isn't someone to turn away either. But half that mustache would have to go. :teeth:

I've always thought Billy Zane was so cute. I adore Sam Elliott. I had to LOL when I watched an old movie on television one night, though. It was Sam Elliott before he acquired his Texas accent and deep voice, he was sort of squeaky sounding. I think the movie was called "Frogs"
