Friday before Thanksgiving?

This question is a little off topic but we are going to San Francisco and are leaving the Friday before Thanksginving, I was wondering if it is as bad as I have heard? We are leaving from Logan in Boston, our flight leaves at 9:30 I am thinking we should give ourselves about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Does this sound good. We are also traveling with a 4 year old and a 1 year old.

IMHO it's worse than you can imagine.

I'd plan on at least 2 1/2 hours. If you can use e-tickets and check in with the kiosk's it should help a little.
