Fri. 12/2 MK Parade Taping?

We are scheduled for the MK on 12/2 - We always like to go for the am EMH to get a jump on the crowds at Dumbo Does anybody know how the taping will effect our plans? Can we make a b-line for fantasy land or will Main Street be closed down? Is the taping as big a deal on Fri. as it is on Sat?

We have the Family Magic tour scheduled as well as CRT for lunch - so changing our date is not a possibility.

Any advice?

Yes taping is a big deal on Friday. The extras will be in the park before it opens. Main St. will be very congested but once past there you will be fine.

It may be easier walking through the shops on main street. They have the sidewalks partially blocked off so that only one or two people across can actually walk on the sidewalk. Even though they have CM's to keep the people moving, they still like to stop and watch what is going on.

I thought I had planned for everything - including avoiding the MK like the plague on Sat. I wonder how this is going to effect our Family Magic tour? Thanks for the tip eeyoreiscool. I think if we can just get to the point where you cut over to Future World we will cut through that way instead of trying to go through the Castle. We definately won't be making the "dash" to wake up Tink! I'm sure w/ all the excitement of the parade she will already have been up for hours

Does anybody else have any tips for making the most of the day? What time do the extra's arrive?

I think we will arrive by 7:00 am. I had read somewhere too that EMH might be changed because of the taping, but no change on the official calendar yet, so maybe that is incorrect.

NO!!!!!

Like changed to a different day? or changed to an earlier time? They can not mess w/ my itinerary! Do they not understand that some of us take this planning stuff VERY seriously!

Sorry! Didn't mean to make you panic! I hope that doesn't happen. I really don't think they understand how much some of us plan. But, EMH has been known to change at the last minute too, so NEVER let anything Disney does surprise you. They just want to keep us on our toes! Or drive us crazy, not sure which! I hope it works out for you!!!
