freshwater oasis in discovery cove opens?

Just made reservations there for June 19. Asked the CSR about it and she pretty much said they have no specific date.

It sounds like an interesting addition with the otters and such. Oh well, maybe next year when we return to Disney!

I emailed DC this morning to see if there were any updates as to an opening date. Here is what I received back:

Dear Gina,

Thank you for contacting Discovery Cove.

Thank you so much for being understanding. We had really hoped that the Oasis would be complete by now. We still do not have an opening date, but construction is quickly happening and progress is being made every day. If I had to guess, I would think that it would be open in plenty of time for your August 29 visit. Keep in touch with the website as I know we will post updates for it on there.

Not much new info, I know, but definitely not a "we'll be opening any day" kind of response either.

"Plenty of time" by August 29? eeek! I was hoping for a reassuring "we'll open in July!" Our date is in the second week of August -- Otters are my favorite animals so my fingers are crossed!

If you look on youTube their is a video someone took from behind the walls it shows a lot of the area ,not all but it looks Awsome lots of tropical plants and you can see the inwater chairs for the lounge!
