Hi everyone!
Just wondering if anyone has been to the Fresh Mediterrean Market at the Dolphin? We are thinking of changing to the breakfast buffet here instead of Cape May when we go in July. Would you recommend this? The dessert buffet looks really good here. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas!
Thank you:) :)

Fresh is excellent. Pricey, but a nice alternative to the other area options.

How would you say breakfast is? Is the desset buffet included with breakfast or only with lunch?

The "dessert buffet" at breakfast are breakfast pastry items. I thought it was pretty good overall - some great healthy options but still with some decadent choices. Great eggs to order (including egg whites) and I think they live up to the billing of "Fresh". It was a little odd when we were there - our first time was a little confusing (it was lunch and rather empty). Our server didn't quite explain how you order some things off the menu but then go up to the buffet too. Once we got the hang of it (next time - breakfast) it was quite good.

We will also be at the BCV in July and we are thinking Fresh may be a breakfast choice for us.

My Aunt is down there now and has had several meals at Fresh, including breakfast. She's raved about it and how everything is so, well "fresh." I haven't eaten there yet myself, but I leave tomorrow morning for an 11 day stay at the Dolphin. I'll gladly give you my review when I'm back.

can't wait to hear about your trip and your stay at the dolphin kte28! Thank you!

Would you mind explaining exactly how lunch works? My DH would be fine with the buffet. My DS & I prefer ordering a la carte. I'm a bit confused on how it works, since ordering from the menu is cheaper than the buffet. I'm surprised they would include the dessert, with an a la carte order. Though, I would love it if they did. It would keep me from having to order the buffet.

our experience in january wasn't so good. wife, adult daughter and myselfhad ressies at 10am. went to get pastries, friut and juice, all OK.
went back for eggs, it was about 10:30, waited for omelet sat down and ate, still OK.
went back for another omelet, (different person) and waffles. about 10:55am
pastries, juice and fruit, all cleaned up and gone. crumbs left in the ready made egg/potato pans, waffle iron off, omelet stove off.
had to show the manager the time. I said what's up?
they did do us an omelet and a waffle but the experience was disappointing.
plus we had to pay to park. not used to that with DVC.

later in the vac, we went to cape may cafe. 11:15 am they were still bringing out fresh breakfast food to the buffet. big difference. cape may, much better.

Fresh is NOT as busy as it should be. Place was dead most of the time. Our experience was that the servers were real SLOW! Our omelet maker had no experience and kept practicing on our orders. This is a NO return for us. Sorry Fresh, you are overpriced and not so great as compared to other breakfast places in the area.
