Our friend just messaged to say he knew someone who has had to cancel their trip to DLP, due to fly today or tomorrow and is worried about the knock on effects early next week.

I hadn't heard anything about it and the only thing I can find is the Daily Fail.

Anyone know what's happening?

Thanks! This seems to be different to what the Fail is claiming - which is a 32 hour strike starting at 8pm tomorrow and resulting in the cancellation of most flights from Gatwick and Heathrow (but nothing of other airports etc.)

I think I'd go by what the airlines are saying. Hopefully everyone gets there nice and safely with no delays.

It is/was a 2 day strike mainly effecting CDG - due to end at 12.00 today. It isn't planned again for next week so you shouldn't have any pbs. Check either with your airline and/or on the ADP site or twitter feed

Yesterday people at CDG had between 20-30 mins delays I've just read in the paper so it wasn't really noticable. 20% of all airport staff were on strike yesterday. Orly wasn't affected at all.

They have asked CDG to reduce it's flights by 20% this am.

There were a lot of flight delays and one or two cancellations last night (we were stuck with a 2 and a bit hour delay last night, didn't get home till almost 2am :( ) but our delay was caused by a problem in Dublin that they had to sort out before coming to CDG because of the strike. I don't know about other airlines but Air France gave everyone on our flight a €8 voucher for food and drink - the main problem with our delay was that they told us literally two minutes before we were supposed to board, had they called/emailed and told people a little earlier we wouldn't have been stuck in the airport for that long (we took the 5:30 VEA and didn't board the flight until 11pm!).

You did get unlucky didn't you :( Hope you had a great time though at DLP and will give us you highs and lows ;)

To be honest, I really hurt my ankle in DLP so I was glad to sit for a few hours in the airport and rest it :') I just hope its better for work tomorrow!

I'm considering writing a proper TR for once :)
