My husband and I are headed to Disney World January 2025 for our 15th wedding anniversary. I can’t decide between POFQ or CSR preferred room(not tower-it’s unavailable). We plan on spending a lot of time at the parks with possible afternoon breaks at the resort. Which resort do you suggest we choose? Thanks all!

Stayed at them all. For us Coronado is the deluxe of moderates and POFQ is the value of moderates. CSR is very adult, it would be my choice for an adult anniversary trip.

Having stayed at both, we prefer POFQ. Maybe it was because we were in a standard room in the Ranchos, we weren't a fan of CSR because we were so far away from the main building and we didn't like the multiple bus stops

Another vote for PO-FQ. They are now currently doing a room refurbishment that is very nice. We have stayed there many times. We agree with the above post about Coronado Springs. We stayed there one time and didn't like it because of the transportation and the remoteness of the rooms. We stayed in the Casitas and it felt like a maze getting to and from the room and resort central.

If the tower room was available I would say CSR but since it's not, then POFQ. I much prefer the ambiance of POFQ over CSR and you can reserve a carriage ride and do not forget that your allowed to bring some bubbly:D

Both are beautiful resorts but very different "feels." CSR is very large with that southwest feel, multiple bus stops, and a few very good on-site dining venues. You will likely see many adults in casual business attire here during conventions and has a decidedly more adult feel in general.

POFQ is a much smaller resort with quaint New Orleans "streets" and evening horse-and-carriage rides. There is only one bus stop making it very efficient for getting to/from the parks. Although there are no TS dining venues, you can walk next door to POR or take the boat to DS for many options.

If you aren't spending much time at the resort, you may want to just prioritize transportation efficiency and price. If you do plan to use the resort amenities, you should peruse the dining venue options to see what appeals to you as well as the distance from your room location to desired amenities.

Our family prefers POFQ because of its size, ease of transportation and the QS dining options. We also have several food allergies and prioritize Disney owned and operated dining as CSR has several dining venues that are run by a third party.

Coronado Springs, hands down. It's beautifully appointed for a very nice anniversary trip. Also, Toledo, or Maya Grill would be lovely for an anniversary dinner. The grounds are beautiful and a walk around the lake is so pretty! I've stayed at both and like POFQ, but for a special time, I'd go with Coronado.

CSR Preferred and FQ are a lot alike and you will enjoy them. FQ has far less competition for buses especially at the end of the night.

I personally love the jambalaya and beignets too. CSR however has more premium dining and bar options.

I think the CSR rooms are slightly better than even the FQ refurbs.

CSR has the better main pool.

FQ wins on being very compact, super relaxed, with added Disney Springs access as long as a drone show is not interfering.

We much prefer Coronado but have stayed at, and enjoyed, both. I much prefer the atmosphere and food/lounge options at Coronado, but like the smaller size of POFQ, as well as boat access to Disney Springs. DH and I are doing a vacation in January and are staying 2 nights at CSR before heading to WL.

We love them both, but if the Tower isn’t available, then POFQ for the win. But here’s the thing. I have “stalked” rooms at the Tower numerous times, and closer to our trip, rooms have always opened up. So if you want to try that, make your ressie at POFQ and be ready to switch if something comes up.

The dining and lounge/bar options at CSR are perfect for an adult trip. That would be my choice.
