French Onion Soup

I really enjoyed the French onion soup at the Grand Floridian Cafe.

So I'm contemplating where I'd like to eat on my next trip, and I'm posting to see all the places where I might find a good bowl of French Onion Soup ("good" includes plenty of nice gooey cheese on top).

I loved it at Les Chefs when I had lunch there in 2012, liked it (but not quite as much) at BOG lunch. Anyone had it anywhere else, and what did you think of it there?

Love ours at Les Chefs a few years back. Remy did a good job preparing ours.

Yes, indeed, I gave Chef Remy my compliments! It's too bad he doesn't make the dining room rounds any more; he was so cute!

Just back from WDW a and ate at BOG two nights ago.....I take back my recommendation for this French onion soup....and for the restaurant all together...

Last April (2013), we really did have an amazing meal. We all ordered the same items this time and it was kind of awful....oh and the kids "filet" is a joke. My children are NOT big eaters and even they looked shocked at the size of this filet...like it was literally a medallion....so tiny, they ended up eating half of our strips.

So disappointing...

There is a thread that was posted yesterday about new menu items at AoA's Landscape of Flavors & French Onion Soup is one of the new additions. I adore AoA & have eaten there several times so far. I'm really looking forward to my next visit now as I love French Onion Soup & have also been wondering where I can get a good bowl on property.

I enjoy the French onion soup at the Grand Floridian, too. The Turf Club also serves a good one.
