OK..I know this probably should be someplace else, but I thought I would try here first.

My sisters only request in the dining dept is that we try some French food when we go in July. (Aside from fries and toast of course... ;) )

So I am wondering if you all have tried the French restaurants there (I believe there are 2) and which one you like best...

Thanks!

I've tried Chefs de France. I enjoyed the food but I don't think it was really great enough to justify the price. ;)

My favorite is the bakery. Never pass up a chance to grab a pastry there!!! :teeth:

Have never eaten there, do not like French cooking, but the bakery is SUPER!!!! Did not go last time, low carbing. :) But it sure smelled good.

Anything in the bakery is good.

I agree with CheshireVal, the food is good but too high.

We love the bakery, it would not be a complete trip to Epcot w/o chocolate mousse and ham and cheese croissant.:goodvibes

I had lunch at Chefs de France. I really enjoyed it (I had French Onion Soup and Quiche). As everyone else has said, the bakery is excellent.

We always have something from The Patisserie on every trip.

We also ate for the first time in Le Chefs de France in December, it was part of our CP package. No complaints at all - food was nice and the service was excellent. :D

We had a very nice meal at Chefs de France last summer, complete with the suggested wine and a cute French waiter.:D I didn't think it was significantly more expensive than the other World Showcase restaurants. Bistro de Paris, however, IS very expensive.

Dan, Didn't you know that Carbs eaten on vacation have no effect on you.;)

OOO HOUND! Does that count for regular dieting too?? We leave for Vegas and DL in 2 weeks and I've been dieting for 2 months. It would thrill me to know calories didn't count while on vacation :p

Absolutely! Its a known scientific fact according to experts quoted in the National Enquirer that once your matabolism realizes you are on vacation, it goes on vacation too. This means your system only goes through enough work to extract the minumum needed nutrients from foods while you are on vacation and it refuses to do the extra work to convert excess calories to fat.

We ate at Chefs de France a few times way back when and I really haven't cared to go back, but like some of the others, I simply don't care for French food.

However, I have to agree with everyone on the bakery. This is a "must do" on every trip.

And to back up WDWHound, just the walk around World Showcase (in either direction) should burn off all those wonderful carbs and calories. ::yes::

We ate at a French restaurant in Epcot, but I couldn't tell you the name of it. LOL! It was my first time at Epcot. I just looked for a French place, went in, and that was it. :)
