French Dip Sandwich at BOG

My DS would like to know if there is horseradish on the french dip sandwich at BOG. If not, can it be requested?

No horseradish when we had it last August.
You can ask for it, the worst they can say is that they don't have any.

It looks like they splash a little on there so there must be more in the back. I never opened my sandwich up though. I just ate it : )

We were disappointed with it when we were there in January. It was just plain beef on bun with au jus. No cheese, onions, horseradish (which I wouldn't get anyway). Not sure if thats the usual way they do them or not though. Not that it was bad, it just needed something on it.

That’s the roast beef sandwich which did have horseradish and arugula (and was cold). The French dip replaced that

DH says there wasn’t any horseradish on his French dip but now he wants to ask for some next time.

There’s nothing on any menu there that has ranch dressing and they were able to find some for my kiddo so I’m guessing it’s not that far of a stretch to say they could probably find some horseradish.

I’m going in May and since DH is sure to order it, I can certainly ask if it’s available and report back but I’m willing to bet someone will make it there before I do and hopefully can fill us in.

You can still make special requests if you mobile order. When you get to the restaurant you still check out with a cashier and can make modifications then.

I did find a 2017 review that said they asked and horseradish was not available and they wished they brought Arby’s horsey sauce from home. If not having horseradish is a deal-breaker it might help to see if there’s another menu item DS may want

Good to know about the mobile ordering. And bringing in horseradish packets is a great idea!

The original hot steak sandwich had a horseradish sauce on it, that sandwich was delicious!

Not a fan of the cold roast beef sandwich. Huge downgrade.

The French Dip was added to the menu in 2017 ( I think late spring/ early summer?). It replaced the cold roast beef sandwich (that had horseradish sauce and arugula) that replaced the hot roast beef sandwich (sometime in 2016?).

So, it started as a hot carved roast beef, then they changed to cold roast beef, then they changed to the French Dip (which is hot roast beef on bread, with au jus for dipping- no sauce/ onions/ other garnishes).

Although the very first edition I believe was a steak then it downgraded to roast beef. I recall having it during the initial opening.

"Sandwich Saga" is absolutely right!! My DH is pretty much happy to eat anywhere but when they switched to the cold roast beef he asked if we could skip BOG lunch on our next trip (usually we split an entree and neither of us was a fan of the cold roast beef). It changed to the French Dip before the next trip. Ordinarily I can't keep up with cataloguing menu changes
