My pre ordering became available today and we used the menus on ALL EARS to decide. Looking at the options on the website, the carved roast beef is no longer available and they have the French Dip instead. Just curious if anyone's had this and is it good? Thanks! We're also ordering the Braised Pork (this is for lunch). It looks delish! :)

Also, there are 3 of us. Will they let us preorder for 2 and then place the order for the third later?

You can preorder and change/modify up until the day of your ADR, but if you don't preorder for that 3rd person at all, they'll have to go in the order at the kiosk line while the others sail through to their food.

Oh, I'm glad I asked!! Thank you for the information!

I had the french dip back in July. It was pretty good. A nice cast member noticed I was out of au jus and offered to get me some more. It was appreciated and recommended. They didn't give much in the first cup.

Excellent! Thank you!

Had the French dip sandwich yesterday - its my daughter's favourite thing (she's not a terribly adventurous eater and it suited her exactly)

It's basically beef and bread - with jus on the side. French fries and ketchup. Jus and ketchup both served in separate pots so it's up to you if you have them (description probably not selling it too well but we think it's good!)

We had a lunch adr on the 16th Aug (1st park day) - daughter loved it so much she was looking to go again. She got lucky and found a cancellation for a return visit yesterday.

Husband happy too - BOG cheaper than Crystal Palace which was the ADR I cancelled to fit it in :rotfl2:

I'm also interested in the French Dip for when I go on Aug 30th, I'm debating between that and the turkey sandwich. However, here's the deciding factor:

Is the French Dip served hot and toasted, or cold?

Excellent about the ADR! Could they bring a side of something like the horseradish sauce if we asked for it?

I had the French Dip in July and I agree - it was good. It just wasn't as good as the old roast beef sandwich; that one was my favorite and I would get it multiple times per trip. This was your basic French Dip. I would get it again.

We got the French dip on two separate occasions this summer and it was great both times. I did ask for mayo and they gave me a little cup like they serve the ketchup in.

Ate lunch there yesterday. The French Dip and turkey sandwiches were both excellent. The meats are hot on untoasted, room temperature baguettes. The bread was great - not too hard but sturdy enough to hold up to the meat. The meats are thickly sliced (not deli meat) with good flavor. My son also loved the toasted ham and cheese.

This is what I ordered! It looks like a real meal! I have to say though, thank goodness for free dining with it being 76.00 for a quick service lunch!
you won't be disappointed, there were people around my table who didn't care for what they ordered. i was like, "you should have gotten the braised beef." before we went to BoG, a guy stopped us and told us to order it too. he said it was that good.

This thread makes me happy I was able to get a lunch ADR at BOG. Just meat and bread with a side of jus is perfect for DH. I'm looking forward to trying the braised pork.
