Freeride.com is back up. I am having trouble joining at the moment. There are not many rewards but they say new ones will be added weekly.

How did you know it was up? Did you get an email or something?

Its posted on another board. But be sure to read the TOS. Its one member per household. And they added in that they can change how they send GCs...they say they can charge a fee to mail GCs after awhile. I think its term F that discusses that.

Right now they offer $10 GCs for Amazon, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Bahama Breeze for 10,500 except Amazon is 11,500. Daily point limit is 37 I think but they start you out with 500. If that is correct without shopping it will take 284 days for a $10 GC from one of the restaurants. With the 500 free points this first time it will take 271 days.

Oh, how I miss the good ole days of riding the bus......:(

I agree with you, Ohanamom, I miss the bus. This was one of my favorite RP's, but now that it'll take almost a year to cash out, I don't know that I'll rejoin. What a shame!

It may have changes as time goes on. I feel it is worth watching.S

Thought I'd try this out for a week or so just to see how it goes. I was able to earn 36 pts yesterday and only 5 today. At that rate it will take alot longer to cash out.

Ok, I just went back to the site to bookmark it and 3 more cabs for 3 more points showed up. That makes a total of 7 today.

Tried it again and earned two more. It happens when I go to www.freeride.com and not by using the bookmark.

I don't know about Freeride before, but I went to the website to check it out, and it immediately downloaded something to my hard drive without my permission, then asked if I wanted to install it (I forget the name of the program). I said no, which froze my browser and I had to close it from the Task Manager.

Luckily, I have AdAware, which gets rid of these types of pesky spyware programs, so right away I got rid of whatever it was trying to get me to install.

My favorite awards site is definitely My Points. They do have that little applet you can download where it will alert you when you're shopping at a site available at My Points, but didn't go through My Points. However, they don't make you download it, and certainly don't download it without your permission.

I tried Memolink for a while, but many of the sites you had to click on for points were of the same type as Freeride. They wanted to download stuff to my hard drive without my consent. I cancelled within like one week or so.

So ... if, like me, you don't want spyware on your hard drive, you might want to stay away from Freeride (and Memolink).

My Points rules! :D
