Freeport Casino ?

I was "wondering" if there is a casino in Freeport?. If so, is it located close to were the ship is docked?

Yes, there is a casino at what is called the shopping area. Can't think of the name of it now. It is a taxi ride away, however there are several taxi's waiting right outside the ship's docking area. Lots of people go into town and the same place so they put several of you in one van (taxi). It is a 5-10 min. ride and costs about $3.00 ea way. They will ask where you want to go, just tell them the casino and they take you right to it. It is older and nothing like Atlantis, but does have plenty of tables & machines to have fun for awhile. A lady on our last cruise said she won $900. while there. It never works that way for us however. LOL! Have fun!

The main tourist area at Freeport is Port Lucaya. It is a taxi or bus ride away from where the ship docks. I believe there is a casino at one of the hotels near Port Lucaya.

Yes, there is at least one casino in Freeport and I know another one is opening soon...they were building it.
Dave is correct, as always, you will have to go to Port Lucaya. We took a taxi to go to the Dolphin Encounter and two couples were dropped off at a casino on the way. I think the cab driver said it used to be called the Princess or something like that. I don't recall what it's called now, but any cab driver would know where to take you.
There was a new casino being built at Our Lucaya, which I think is the biggest hotel in Port Lucaya. I'm not sure when it's opening but I would guess it would be open by this fall or next spring at the very latest.
Taxi rides to Port Lucaya are now $5 per person each way. We bargained a flat rate/round trip fare and the cab driver accepted, no problem. (and he was waiting for us when we returned from our dolphin encounter, 20 mins late!)
