Has anyone here tried emusic to download songs?

I have an Entertainment Book and I got 35 free downloads (well, a 2 weeks free tiral) and was not sure if I should keep it or not.

After the free trial is up- I chose the plan where you pay 11.99 a month for 30 downloads. I figure just ONE of the CDs I would buy would be 11.99 and they only have about 12 songs on the CD- so 30 songs sounds petty good for the price........I guess?:confused3

I got 50 free downloads from them a year or two ago. I had a really hard time finding 50 songs that I wanted. I didn't stick around after the free trial. They keep offering me 75 bonus downloads if I pay for 1 month. I'm not falling for it, but if you don't have to pay anything, its worth a shot.

Well! I have been wanting to get some new CDs- It took me 2 secords! to download Arch Enemy's Rise of the Tyrant- and it went right into my iTunes and I am jammin' to the music already! My account shows I had 35 free downloads and now it is down to 24

So- I like bands not songs, so I will use all my free downlaods towards the whole CDs! I think this might be good!

Did anyone get the TNT house party? I noticed that it is on the "current events" list on thier website. I didn't get an invite to this one, but I was just wondering what the party pack is? This is one that my DH was hoping to host... he says I can keep all the cooking/ cleaning ones for my girlfriends.

I got it! This makes up for being an 3 hours late to the Philly cream cheese pre-holiday party!

The party pack is a mystery-- they said it would have mystery gifts for guests-- I think it includes a "who-dunit?" game-- or maybe I just didn't read closely in my excitmend to respond and confirm.

I'm pretty excited about this one! The show looks great-- I like the idea of a modern day Robin Hood. I love TNT's other original dramas, especially Saving Grace and The Closer.

madd, we LOVE emusic, cause it has all the indie music we can't get on ITUNES...it has lots of stuff and I know a lot of people don't like it, it seems its just because they've never heard of a lot of the artists on there...

 Ride a cowboy!?

Hey- I put a saddle on my DHs back all the time- he puts a cowboy hat on, hence, the phrase, riding a cowboy! What's so wrong with that?!

People have really dirty minds..............:sad2: Shame, shame! :snooty:

Yeah, that is a complaint from a lot of people. I personally loved emusic. They focus mainly on independent music releases. So, it's hit or miss as to what they offer and what people want.

Hmmm, I'm debating checking it out. I have an entertainment book (because we sold them as a fundraiser for DD's band) Do they have Muse and Blue October? Those are who my DD is looking for, and she likes entire cd's as well. I prefer downloading single songs myself.

YAY PHILLIES!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

OK, got that out of the way- - Funny you mention the indy music- I was just checking to see if they had the Metallica song- Devil's Dance (OMG- AWE-SOME!) and this is what I got when I typed in Metallica:
eMusic sells music from more than 20,000 labels and 130,000 artists in the universally-compatible MP3 format at an affordable price. We strongly believe in independent music and its culture, and do not currently carry many mainstream, Top 40 artists. If you would like to suggest an addition to the eMusic catalogue, please let us know here. In addition, feel free to contact your favorite labels and tell them you want to buy their music on eMusic.

I checked for Muse- and they gave me the same schpeel about them that I got for Metallica- however, Blue October, they show one CD- The Answers (?) is that one of their CDs? It says it is from 1998!
