Freebie Thread for the Week of 5/28/2007

We went to a Devil Rays game and I have now learned that I have no shame. I put on some gloves, walked around after the game, picked up extra caps and put them in a baggie. DH hid in the bathroom for a while and finally gave up hiding when he realized I wasn't leaving until I had at least two bags filled with coke caps. The plus side is that I must have at least 100 points to still be entered.

I really must get another hobby.

I've been slowly collecting my own Coke points, but before DBF ::cop: graduated this spring, he "volunteered" to take back all the pop bottles for his law enforcement academy so he could swipe all the coke tops and surprise me .... that was a month ago and I'm still entering points and now his mom is snagging them for me from the hospital she works at :)

gotta love connections!

Sorry to be so OT today-- If you got a Senseo offer, but don't want to pay full price for the pods after you use the free ones they send you- there are some AWESOME buys on ebay! You can get 16 pods for $5! Just a heads up for those of you that are interested!

And, if anyone still wants to sign up for the Senseo system- the website is sharesenseo.com, you will have to take a survey, and if you qualify, they will send you an email for a free Senseo machine/pods/canister. The only thing is you have to pay a one time $15 shipping and handling fee, which, IMO is very worth is for the $70 machine and free pods/canister!

I purchased a "refillable" pod from Walmart for around $8. This way I don't have to purchase the pods and I can make whatever coffee I want - Dunkin Donuts, etc.

Hmm..I wonder if this is going to be coupon or or if they're actually going to send alcohol through the mail (I would think not).

I signed up in the past and what I got was a "rebate certificate" You have to buy a regular sized bottle and I guess you can send in the rebate-- We never did buy the regular size- however we did pick up a mini one at the liquor store check out after I received the brochure if figured, let me try it-- The bottle is beautiful! It has a pretty purple gem on it-- I know they guys are thinking- who cares!:lmao:

But anyway- we bought it and went out in the parking lot and I couldn't wait to taste it-- we were sitting out there drinking out of the little bottle- I could imagine what people were thinking- anyway- I am not a vodka drinker- but I tasted it right out the bottle and I was surprised how good it was!:cool1:

I got a free Senso coffee maker last year and YIKES those pods are so expensive! How does the refillable pod work? This sounds like great news if it works with this machine, then I could use coffee I like instead of buying the pods with coffee I really don't care for.

I found it near the coffee makers in a small box. This is what it looks like: http://www.amazon.com/Presto-09402-Refillable-Personal-Coffee/dp/B000BIU088

You put the coffee in and put into the Senseo machine just like the other pieces you would use if using a pod. Sounds weird reading what I wrote. Really simple and works well - self explanatory once you see the actual item. Not super but it gets the job done and I can use my coffee. I don't get grinds in my coffee so it does the trick.

Register your Visa card with this Burger King promotion ~ every 10th purchase at BK on your Visa card is FREE (promo good thru 8/31/2007)

This one looks a little scary to me. They seem to want a lot of security info just for a free trip to Burger King. :scared: I couldn't find this offer on either the Visa or the Burger King website.

I understand your feelings. This might be because it is a general Visa website and there are so many Visa bank cards out there. I found this promo thru a Disney Visa and contest link. The main link is here. :goodvibes

ETA: Actually, I'll add the link to the contest, too, as it is pretty cute: Magic Wand Contest. When you use your Visa card, you get more entries. Contest ends July 31.

It's a happy day- thanks for the info!! I am going to get one tomorrow! My best friend brought me some coffee from Colombia- and I would love to put it in there!

What % of freebies do you actually think you get versus what you sign up for??? I'm just wondering, so far I have gotten a lot?? maybe 70%
