Well its 2am in the morning and Dh and I cant sleep. Does anyone remember our extravaganza a few months ago when DHs sports car caught on fire and caught our siding on fire? Well tonight everyone had been shooting fire works outside our house and since it had been dry I decided to soak the ground and the house with water (the only neighbor to do that-- being overly cautious). My mom had even mentioned to me tonight that it takes a small spark to light a big fire. So after the neighborhood fire works were out-- we go to bed and the doorbell starts going off the hook. One of our neighbors had gotten home from work and noticed the side of our house had caught on fire. Thank heavens for that. He got us up out of bed and another neighbor grabbed the water hose and went to try and put it out. Luckily we got things out before the fire department came. Its been one heck of a night. 2 fires in the past 4 months or so. You would think we are very irresponsible kids-- but in all actuality we were the only people in the neighborhood who wet our house and yard-- yet this happened to us. We dont know what happened but Thank heavens it wasnt worse!! I am so thankful for the neighbor coming home from work when he did and the other grabbing the water hose. God has really been looking out for us! Say a prayer for us!! Its going to be a long night!

OMG! :scared1: That is so scary! I bet someone's fireworks hit your house. Those things are so dangerous -- I just don't understand why people insist on lighting their own instead of seeing a professional show. I mean afterall, they sound like bombs for a reason -- they are explosives!

Thank God for your neighbors awakening you. I hope the damages aren't too bad and that they can get fixed quickly for you.
