Have been here one day and the free wireless while it is showing as available all over, is useless. I know, you get what you pay for, but it stinks that Disney would offer an amenity and then it be so poor. I'm not trying to skype, netflix; I wish I could just check email consistently. I was going to plug my laptop into the wired connection and the cables aren't in my room anymore. It's like a kid staring in the candy store but just can't get inside to get the candy.

Why offer something if it isn't going to work? Guess I'm heading off property to buy a cat5 cable so I plug into the wall. Hope it atleast works.

Sorry it's not working well for you. We were at WL in Jan, and it worked very well. No issues.

Just got back from pop. march 15th to the 23rd worked great even used Skype to video chat with my friends back home to show them the resort

Add another voice saying it was just fine at the Poly. Very fast, streamed video etc. Worked great. Op info on where you were and the equipment you were using might help people figure out what was going on.

For what it's worth, I found that you should always use the browser first when connecting. The sign in process wants to take you to your resort's home page as the last step. That seemed to cause connection problems sometimes (not always) if starting in something else like mail. I'd find myself kind of half connected and slow. Never a problem starting with the browser first.

I'm at Pop now and were finding it fast and have no problems. That's with two iPhones and an iPad. I brought my my-fi, but have only needed that at the airports.

Sandi, which building are you in? I'm in the back of Building 5 and it has stunk since we arrived. I've spent over 20 minutes trying to respond to your post. It comes and goes so much. I've been using my MacAir. My son had his ipad at the pool and he said it was extremely slow there. My daughter has tried her iphone and she finally quit trying. We even dug out our netbook and it didn't work well either. We used all of these devices on the drive down with our MiFi and they worked then fine.

If there is a faster place on property, I would love to know where because on the back side of building five, it just isn't working in our room.

You can try phoning down to the desk, and asking for tec support to help you. Possibly there may be something wrong with their wifi in your area?

It can vary sometimes within the same resort. I stayed at BWV in December and January. On the December trip, I had no issues, and it was a very fast connection. In January it was spotty at times, and the connection wasn't as strong. So it's entirely possible that two guests in the same resort would have different experiences.

I would definitely let someone know, in case there's something they can do.

Called the front desk and they transferred me to tech support. They supposedly reset the modem that covers our room and it has worked better since. Hope that fixes it.
